Are you using data to tell your story?
Did you know we have a data discovery team? That's right – Foundation Center's been collecting grants data since we were founded in the 1950s, and now, we're getting smarter about how we structure and display that data. This allows for exciting new ways to tell stories about who is funding what and where. But we can't do this without you! We warmly invite you to participate in the Foundation Center's Electronic Reporting Program (eReporting), which enables grantmakers to quickly and easily share grants data through our multiple platforms, resources, and databases. We are grateful to our nearly 1,250 eReporters of all sizes, types, and geographies who contribute to the richness of grants data available to grantmakers, nonprofits, policymakers, researchers, and the general public.
Becoming an eReporter allows you to drive the story of your organization's giving with timely and accurate information. It's transparency in a nutshell! And, it's easy — just send a complete grants list from your most recent fiscal year as an Excel file. The best part is, as an eReporter, you will receive a complimentary map of your organization's giving! This interactive map can be used internally by your staff and posted publicly on your website. Take a look at how proudly the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation displays its map online!
For me, I can't help but smile when eReporters express their enthusiasm for using data to tell their stories! Become an eReporter and join a community of funders championing transparency and information-sharing! Please visit our eReporting page or feel free to e-mail us for more details.
